World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrades allow players to raise the item level of armor and weapons that can be equipped. This boosts the stats of that gear, as well as sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

These upgrades can be used to boost a variety of purposes such as to increase the overall power of an individual or group unit. They can also have a major impact on gameplay.
Any item upgrader NPC can be found in the game. These NPCs are located in major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also locate item upgraders when they visit dungeons with high-level bosses and by talking to the NPCs in their faction's garrisons.
The upgrade system for items in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the levels of armor, weapons, and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging process used in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However, instead of making use of currency, players will need to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.
Item upgrades can be costly, especially when it comes to weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path you select, each level increase can cost Crests or Valorstones. The total cost can be very prohibitive for players who do not have the resources or are unable to grind them.
The game allows you to play a reroll of an upgraded item using a special tool from the menu of items. This option replaces the upgraded item with an unlevel 1 version that offers different bonus effects. Requirements

For instance upgrading a weapon from three to level six will boost the weapon's damage by plus two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on its level. This bonus is a combination of a guaranteed extra substat as well as a random stat that will change in value from upgrade to upgrade.
A player can reroll an upgraded item by using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new one. The new item has a different set extra bonuses, and a lower item level. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to know that the item rerolled won't be able to keep its original strength or have any of its wasted resources.
Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item was upgraded was an Epic, Rare, or Unique. Additionally, item upgrades can be rerolled but the original stats are replaced by a flat-rate bonus. This means that rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a Normal version of the same type, whereas rolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same type.
Upgraded items may have additional modifications that can enhance their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade cost. You can purchase them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can be earned through completing specific missions in the game.
To upgrade a piece of equipment, visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 are dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). Additionally, you will require different amounts of Minerals and Erons.
Time
Upgrades to items can be used to improve the performance of your equipment and ship without the need to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap, but they are a good method to boost your stats without having to spend as much time fighting. It's crucial to know the costs and benefits before investing your time or money.
Each upgrade increases the item's base stat in a specific amount, and gives a chance to get an additional substat. The extra substat is a random and could range from a small increase in one stat to an even greater increase in another. Focus on the items that work best in the slot first. They will bring greater return for your investment.
You can see the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting a weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will then display the progress and expected completion time. In certain situations, you might be able to speed the process of upgrading by applying a Glyph.
It is also possible to retrieve any or all of the upgrade components from an item using a high-end salvage kit, which is offered by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. However, this does not include legendary equipment and upgrades, which can only be recovered by using an Upgrade Extractor or by returning them to the appropriate karma merchant.
Take advantage of the benefits

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to gain an attribute bonus, or an additional effect, when the equipment is worn. Certain upgrade components also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. Players can also retrieve upgraded items by using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging using a salvage of a higher tier kit. Glyphs placed on gathering tools can be swapped freely.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button with a an arrow that rerolls the player can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item's window and allow players to choose up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for an item of level 1 of the same kind. Rerolled items won't retain their status or the amount of resources needed to upgrade them.
The maximum upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's tier as well as its quality. Uncommon items can be upgraded up to a maximum of level six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine. The upgrades to an item are added to the base statistics of the item and won't increase after a specific point.
